![]() ![]() The good news is that there are lots of natural and homemade weed killers that are both effective and non-toxic. A quick online search for health effects of commercial herbicides will likely turn rather quickly into a search for how to kill weeds naturally. If you have not already stopped using products labeled as potential or likely carcinogens, such as glyphosate and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (aka 2,4-D), it may be time to do a little more research on the possible health effects of these weed killers before spraying them around your family and pets. Others have been linked to kidney and liver damage, endocrine disruption, birth defects, and detrimental effects on wildlife and the environment. Of course, there are plenty of commercial herbicides that use toxic chemicals (some of which are organic compounds) for long-term weed eradication, but, while these products are generally rather effective, recent studies link one of the most popular, widely available weed killers to cancer. From avid gardeners to folks who consider any type of yardwork absolute torture, pretty much anyone with a yard can agree on one thing: Weed control is ongoing and the worst way to spend your weekend. Let us know what you think and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.Almost everyone hates weeds. ‘L.O.V.E’ is out now on all major platforms and keep updated with the band on Instagram – exciting things on the way. ‘L.O.V.E’ is for each and every one of us stuck at home, so dance in front of that mirror and chant along! Encompassing the tingle, the butterflies that can only be a result of a summer festival. The final chorus acting as the peak of the night, the highlight of the weekend. ‘L.O.V.E’ feels personal and relates to *that moment*. The track is tapered with a pop savvy, all leading to a satisfying hook without being too obvious or structured. There’s a nostalgic femininity, a ‘Weyes Blood’ rasp that lingers on certain syllables. Allowing the vocals to simply glide on top, the ethereality in Grace’s breath has room to grow. Taking those relaxed toms subverting the gentle to tempt the crowd with a foot-stomping breakdown. One of my stand out moments is the bridge, the calm before the storm. These rhythm section ripples are open to interpretation, playing with our own festival memories. The body of the track is built upon a relaxed, dance flavoured drum beat with a brooding bass that melts between the symbols – keeping the track grooving. Fusing high neck jangles reminiscent of ‘ Foals’ with a ‘Nilufer Yanya’ punch elevates the riff to earworm territory. Taking centre stage is the oriental style guitar, looping and accelerating to a heavier, indie dance headrush. A song about letting go, celebrating the free spirits – all personified by the Stevie Nicks showmanship, no festival tent big enough to contain it! Immediately casting a hazy, sunset hue with subtle vocal flutters and bass, close your eyes and you can almost feel the glitter on your skin. Teasing us with bright, indie-electronica melodies, that tells tales of summer love. KIN are back with their brand new single ‘L.O.V.E’, the follow up to their devastatingly cool debut ‘Sharing Light’.
